First let me start by saying I am writing this to give glory and praise to Jesus Christ. And only Jesus Christ.
17 If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? – 1 John 3:17
My family and I have been helping to support our friend Paul and his family in Myanmar for almost a year now. Helping him with his ministry, to feed his family and pay his rent. This isn’t something I’m trying to brag about, because I know where the monetary blessings in my life come from. Every month we have sent him some money to feed his family. We intended for it to feed his family of seven, but God had other plans.
You see my friend lives near the villages of Yangon, Myanmar. These villages have no industry for people to work. They have no government support to speak of and they are in the middle of a famine.
What I didn’t realize until just recently is that Paul was using some of that money to buy rice for those in his church who live in the villages and were being affected by the famine caused by the Covid pandemic. When I asked him about he said, “Yes for they are very needy than me.” and “Amen I cannot see their children hunger Mike”.
After making sure that he was feeding his family as well, I realized something. Out of the blessings that God gives me that I send each month to bless Paul and his family, God is blessing many more people in more ways than I could ever imagine doing. Which is an even bigger blessing for me.
God never stops amazing me how far he can make a few dollars go.
Be a blessing and like ripples in the water you will see those blessings continue on through those you have blessed.
