Democracy being derailed
Threatened with isolation
Progress in danger of stagnation
Anger is what I feel
The threat of darkness is real

Where the people suffer
The generals feel no pain
Sanctions from the West
The generals laugh
The people will starve at best
Protesters in the street
Raise a three finger salute
Pots and pans sound a beat
Water cannons and rubber bullets
Communications turned off
Lights go dark
When does the madness end
When will we defend
There’s no oil to compensate
What will be their fate
